The world’s largest statistical sites the “Worldometers” has predicted that Sudan’s population will exceed 42,514,094 this year.
The current population of Sudan is 42,029,939, according to data based on the latest United Nations Population Division estimates.
Sudan is ranking 35th in the list of countries in terms of population.
The Worldometers, which provides live statistics in the areas of population census, education, environment, food, energy, health and other fields, said that the increase in the population of the Sudan reaches 2.42 % over 2018, which registered about 2.41 % people.
According to the site, the population density in Sudan is 24 per Km2 (62 people per mi2), while the total land area is 1,765,048 Km2 (681,489 sq. miles).
It also noted that 35.5 % of the population is urban (15,098,085 people in 2019), and the median age in Sudan is 19.0 years.
The Sudan population is equivalent to 0.55% of the total world population.
