The British embassy in Khartoum announced on Sunday the arrival of economic officials to Sudan for talks in the fields of trade and investment.
According to a press release of the embassy the head of the International Trade Department for North Africa, Daniel Rathwell, and Infrastructure and Finance Advisor Eric Olania, arrived in Khartoum for talks with the concern authorities in the field of trade and investment.
The embassy said that the officials would visit a number of Sudanese and British companies working in Sudan to find out the opportunities and challenges present.
The visit was one of the positive developments resulting from the current strategic dialogue between the two countries.
It may be noted that the Khartoum and London will hold fourth round of dialogue in London in mid October, according to previous talks held by the British Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan with Sudanese officials in last August.
In March 2016, the meetings of the Strategic Consultation Committee between the two countries in the Sudanese capital as the first talks on this level since 25 years.
In October, the meetings of the second session of the strategic dialogue between Sudan and the United Kingdom were held in London, the two countries agreed to exchange visits between senior officials of both sides and increase cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and culture
