Collection of SS Oil Transit Fees in Kind Not Confiscation

Collection of South Sudan oil transit fees in kind is not sort of confiscation process, petroleum minister Mohamed Zayid Awad said in statement. The minister told reporters on Tuesday that collection of oil fees in kind is stated in the deal signed between the two countries in Addis Ababa witnessed by international community. It notes that following secession of South Sudan Khartoum and Juba agreed that Chinese oil has to be transported via oil pipeline to Port Sudan for US$ 11 per barrel and Petro Dar oil for US$9.10 per barrel, media reports say . The minister said currently committees are working on reviewing oil transit fees in response to president Omar AL Bashir instructions.
