Consultations between CAR Parties to Form Transitional Government


The Sudanese mediation for the Central African Republic (CAR) negotiations announced consultations between CAR Government and the armed movements to form a transitional government in the next two months according to the peace agreement signed in Khartoum.

Speaking to SMC, the Sudanese mediator to the CAR negotiations, Ambassador Atta Mannan Bakhit said that the transitional government will last for year and a half to complete the remaining of the current government.

He added, the transitional government will prepare for elections with the involvement of the Central African citizen, parties, armed movements and civil society.

Bakhit expected that CAR political force and armed groups will forward its proposals on power- sharing and the integration of the forces in one national army.
