Convening of the Sudanese-Ethiopian Joint Military Meetings


The meetings of the Sudanese-Ethiopian Joint Military Commission (JMC) continued on its 18th round, which hosted by Khartoum from 10-14 March.

The meetings are discussing the border security, anti-smuggling, cross-border crime and peacekeeping issues.

It is expected that the committee will meet at the level of the chiefs of staff of the two countries on Tuesday, while the team of experts from both sides concluded its work today by signing the minutes of the talks in preparation for the meeting of the Chiefs of Staff.

The Sudanese side signed Lieutenant General Yasser Abdulrahman Hassan al-Atta, Deputy Chief of Staff of the ground forces for training; The Ethiopian side is Chairman of the Group of Experts, General Vasha Kidanu, and Director of Joint Operations Department.
