The 1st China-Africa Expo opened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the exhibition center today.
The event will focus on deepening a comprehensive partnership of Ethiopia and China to encourage the cooperation of industry and commerce of the two countries.
In his opening remark, Engineer Melaku Ezezew, President of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) said Ethiopia and China have strong business and investment relations.
The event will have a significant contribution in attracting new companies to Ethiopia, creating business network, and promoting technology transfer.
Chief of the Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), He Cailong said the event is a demonstration of the strong cooperation existed between China and Africa.
The expo attracted more than 46 Chinese companies engaged in the manufacturing of building materials, engineering logistics, machinery, energy equipment, agricultural and food processing products, environmental protection, trucks and auto parts, hotel management and household materials.
