FAO Allocates $140 Thousand for Lands Registration in Darfur


The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has allocated $140 thousand to register agricultural land in Darfur, the Darfur Lands Commission said.

Speaking to SMC, the Commission Secretary-General Khaled Al-Ruzieqi said “the money  will be distributed through a joint window of the Ministries of Agriculture and Urban Planning and Lands Registry”.

He added, the registration will begin with (20) lands including farms and agricultural lands, noting that (96%) of the lands in Darfur are not registered.
