FDFA Praised the Development of the Human Rights File in Sudan


The National Human Rights Commission announced the signing of a joint agreement with the Swiss Federal Department Of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the European Union (EU) to promote and support the human rights issue in Sudan.

Speaking to SMC, the head of the Commission, Iman Fathur Rahman Salem, said after the meeting with  FDFA delegation visiting the Commission, that the delegation was briefed on the human rights file in detail during a meeting with the members of the Commission, stressing the commitment of the FDFA to support the Commission in all aspects that enable it to carry out its tasks in accordance with agreed international standards.

She  praising the progress made by Sudan in human rights issues, and the delegation’s praise for the breakthroughs achieved in the file in Sudan during the last period.

She added that the meeting came out with joint recommendations, notably the joint agreement, which includes EU and FDFA and the Commission, adding more efforts will be exerted  in the coming days to implement the recommendations and agreements in a short period.
