Juba has recently witnessed high level meeting between northern sector rebels and SPLA, south Sudan military commanders. The motive of the meeting was for securing military support for northern sector in south Kordofan.
Northern sector familiar sources told (smc) described the meeting as extraordinary of its kind has discussed means of securing military logistical support on regular basis as has been usually offered by south Sudan to rebels through the 9th and 10th divisions in Blue Nile and south Kordofan. The meeting also discussed other logistical support to face summer campaign the Sudan’s army plans to launch against rebels in the two areas (south Kordofan and Blue Nile).
The meeting was attended by south sudan security service chief whilst northern sector rebel represented by Izat Koko the commander of what so called first division and rebel Stevanous Nasir . on conclusion the attendees agreed on a secret plan to be implemented jointly by the two sides, as sources have said. Afterwards northern sector rebels left to Uganda and launched confidential meeting at Malk Agar’s residence. During the meeting attendees were prohibited to use social communication facilities. The Meeting was attended by first division intelligence commander AL Tayeb Khalifa , the northern sector negotiating team spokesman Mubarak Ardoul, the Ugandan office chief Buthaina Dinar and secretary of the office Jawahir Suleiman besides Ugandan government representative . But according to sources Abdel Aziz AL Hilo and Jagod Mukwar were absence from the meeting.
