Head of the Political Committee of the Transitional Military Council (TMC) Lt. Gen. (PSC) Shams-Eddin Kabbashi has said that a joint meeting is to be held between the TMC and the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) to agree on a unified media address to present and inform on the July 5 agreement.
Kabbashi has presented a briefing to the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Khartoum on the agreement, in the presence of TMC member Lt. Gen. (PSC) Yasir Al-Atta and acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Omer Dahab.
He explained that the technical committee is about to finalize its work on formulating the agreement in its final form prior to its final signing amid regional and international participation.
Kabbashi indicated that joint delegations of TMC and FFC would make visits to the various states of the Sudan.
He stressed that priority would be given to consolidating peace all over the country and further contacts would be made with the armed movements besides giving concern to improving the living conditions of the people and reforming the economic situations.
He expressed thanks to the joint African mediation, the African Union and the Ethiopian Prime Minister for their efforts to bring closer the view points of the two parties to the negotiations.
Kabbashi called on the international community to support the agreement and the efforts of enhancing the economy and the social services.
