Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour on Monday stressed Sudan’s keenness to develop relations with the Republic of China, expressing appreciation for China’s political and economic support and its support for Sudan’s issues in the United Nations.
Ghandour met with the Chinese Foreign Minister Zhang Ming in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on the sidelines of the African summit, where they discussed various issues aimed at promoting cooperation programs between the two friendly countries in various fields.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Qaribullah Al–Khader, said that the level of bilateral coordination at the level of international multilateral organizations and forums has been confirmed.
Zhang Ming expressed his country’s satisfaction on the level of relations between the two countries, calling for expanding areas of cooperation, pointing to his country’s readiness to start work on the implementation of the new Khartoum airport and the project of the central slaughterhouse.
In the same context, Ghandour discussed with the Ethiopian Foreign Minister, Workneh Gebeyehu, the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the promotion of cooperation in various fields to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
