Khartoum is to host on Thursday the second meeting of the quartet committee of Egyptian and Sudanese Foreign Ministers and Intelligence Chiefs in the two countries, said Sudan foreign ministry in a statement.
Sudan’s Foreign Minister Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Chief of Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Service Salah Abdalla and Egypt’s Chief of Intelligence Abbas Mustafa Kamel will take part in the meeting, according to the statement.
The meeting will discuss how to enhance bilateral relations in all aspects and regional and international issues of mutual concern, it noted.
It added that the meeting will also discuss Sudan’s efforts towards consolidating peace and stability in neighboring countries, means of coordinating stances and exchanging support at international forums.
The meeting comes as part of following up results of the first session of the quartet committee, held in Cairo on Feb. 8 and implementation of the results of the second session of the presidential committee, recently held in Khartoum.
