The delegation of the Sudan for participation in the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is led by Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Magdi Hassan Yasin left for Washington yesterday.
The Minister of Finance is accompanied by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan Hussein Gangoul.
The meetings, which are held during the period April 8-14, are considered as a big international economic gathering.
The Minister of Finance would hold talks on the sidelines of the meetings with the President of the African Development Bank and the executive directors at the World Bank of each of US, Britain and Saudi Arabia.
He would also meet with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) besides the President of African Export–Import Bank.
The minister would also hold bilateral meetings with US Treasury and State Departments.
