Leaders within the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement- Minni Minnawi (SPLM-MM) accused the head of the movement, Arko Minnawi, of wasting the movement’s money following the losses suffered by the company ‘Home Brock’ Kampala, which is the commercial front of the faction.
Speaking to the SMC on condition of anonymity, leaders revealed that it would investigate the losses of the company, which is supervised by a relative of the movement’s leader, Muhammad Saleh Dumi.
The company had concluded a deal in which it purchased large amounts of maize. Following which, fluctuations and speculations in the market resulted in the company being exposed to significant losses due to the deterioration of maize prices from 200 to 175 dollars.
The news of the company’s loss is expected to lead to renewed disagreements over the fate of the movement’s funds and investments after leaders accused the movement’s leader of taking over and turning it over to his own advantage.
It is noteworthy that a number of leaders of the faction Minnawi accused of ignoring the conditions of the movement’s employees and not to provide subsidies in exchange for the acquisition of gains from the money of the movement.
