N. Darfur: Smuggling Operations on Borders with Neighboring Countries Shrink


The Government of North Darfur State affirmed that smuggling operations on the borders of the state with Libya and Chad have shrunk as it said no smuggling incident was registered in the recent period.

Speaking to SMC, Acting Governor of North Darfur State Mohamed Beraima said that the borders of the state with Libya and Chad are totally free of any security violations, affirming shrink of all kinds of smuggling operations, top of them weapons trafficking, explaining that the regular forces and Rapid Support Forces are deployed all along the borders with the neighboring countries.

He indicated that the authorities have held the unlicensed vehicles that had come from Libya across the border earlier.
