Sudan’s National Defense and Security Council headed by president Omar al-Bashir, announced Monday its support for positive developments in the Horn of Africa region.
The council discussed during a regular meeting, the latest developments in the Horn of Africa region, stressing his support for the positive developments that will promote peace and build mutual relations.
The Council rapporteur, the Sudanese Minister of Presidential Affairs, Fadul Abdullah Fadul, said in a press statement after the meeting that the periodic meetings of the Council devoted to trading on topical issues and recommendations focused on the homeland and the citizen service issues.
He pointed out that future meetings will address a number of issues, including the people’s income and the protection of society from negative phenomena.
According to SUNA the Council previous meetings contributed to addressing many issues of national security, and expected to contribute and support the issues of the Horn of Africa.
The Horn of Africa region witnessed a historic reconciliation between the two neighbors Ethiopia and Eritrea, by virtue of diplomatic efforts led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
