NUP Leader Turns Down Invitation to Attend SRF Meeting In Paris

Head of the National Umma Party (NUP), Al-Sadiq al-Mahdi, has rejected an invitation from Minni Minnawi and Yassir Arman to join the meetings of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) alliance in Paris.

He also criticized them of uninvited him officially earlier.

In a letter sent to SRF, Mahdi said that he rejected the existence of civil organizations inside the SRF as an alliance and consider it as armed movements alliance.

He  noted that the integration of civil organizations under the umbrella of an armed front paralyzes its civil work.

Mahdi called on the coalition leaders to clarify the relationship between the civilian elements of the Sudan Call forces and the armed components.
