Parliament’s Speaker: We Want Relations with US Based on Mutual Benefit


Speaker of the Parliament, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Omer reiterated Sudan’s desire in building good relations with US based on respect and mutual benefit for the people of both countries.

In a meeting in his office on Sunday Prof. Omer discussed with the US Charge d’ Affairs Steven Koutsis, the issue of lifting Sudan from the list of sponsoring terrorism and the need to resume the official dialogue  between the two governments  in the coming period.

In addition to  visits of parliamentary delegation  between the two countries.

The meeting also dealt with the efforts of Sudan in achieving peace in South Sudan and Central Africa Republic, besides its role in combating terrorism and achieving regional and international peace.
