Polish FM: Sudan was a cornerstone for Poland’s start to African countries


Sudan Businessmen and Employers Federation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland have signed agreements in various fields and agreed to increase exchange of visits.

This came the Singing on Saturday, during the Sudanese-Polish Economic Forum held in Khartoum.

Poland’s Minister of  Foreign  Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz , who attended the event said that Sudan was a cornerstone for Poland’s start to African countries.

Four investment agreements were signed between the two countries, which included the fields of agricultural inputs with the Agricultural Bank of Sudan as well as cooperation in the field of health services and medical devices with Tabasheer Company.

Also was an agreement in the field of higher education with the University of Ahfad for women  aims to the education of women in particular, and other in the media so that training opportunities are provided to Sudanese cadres.

The Polish minister announced their intention to activate and increase the volume of trade exchange in the near future, and concluded that the presence of the two foreign ministers in the forum expedited the implementation of the signed agreements.

He stressed his country’s possession of the latest agricultural technologies and the potential that will be harnessed to the agricultural side to develop and increase production in Sudan.

Sudan Foreign Minister Al-Dardari Mohammad Ahmed stressed the depth of the Sudanese-Polish relations and said that these relations are deeply rooted.

He said lifting of sanctions facilitates international banking, and will enable the use of banking facilities, and access to modern technologies and production inputs.
