SRF: Trend to Take Sadiq al-Mahdi’s political powers

The Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) revealed on trend to dismiss the head of the Umma Party, Sadiq al-Mahdi, and take his political powers from the coalition of Sudan Call’s parties.

According to informed sources, the SRF political sector held an extensive meeting last week under the chairmanship of Tom Hajo, during which they discussed the evaluation of the Addis Ababa tour and the Sadiq al-Mahdi position in the alliance.

The outcome of the meeting was reducing al-Mahdi position and power.

During the recent negotiations, The African Union HighLevel Implementation Panel (AUHIP) refused to consult with some elements of the SRF and confined it to the parties to the roadmap, which angered the SRF’s leaders, who hastened to thwart the consultations.
