Sudan looks forward to building a strategic partnership with the United States in the fields of military cooperation.
Sudanese Army’s Chief of General Staff Kamal Abdel–Marouf said during a meeting at his office in Khartoum on Tuesday with the commander of the American Task forces in Djibouti, General James Carrick, in the presence of the US military attaché in Khartoum.
According to a statement issued by the military media, seen by the “eye news”, Abdel–Marouf said his country’s keen to develop relations with the United States of America.
“They hope that the ongoing dialogue between the two countries will crowned by lifting the name of Sudan from the list of the state sponsoring terrorism,” he said.
Carrick praised the role of Sudan in achieving security and stability in the region, stressing his country’s keenness to develop military cooperation relations with Sudan in various fields.
