Sudan and Russia Discuss the Development of Bilateral Cooperation


Moscow  host the joint meeting between Sudan and Russia to discuss the economic issues related to the development of bilateral relations.

The meeting scheduled on December 2nd in Moscow.

The head of the Sudanese side of the Joint Cooperation Committee with Russia, Minister of Oil, Gas and Minerals Azhari Abdul Gader Abdullah discussed with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov ways to boost political and economic relations, especially in the field of oil and minerals.

He stressed that the relationship between the Sudan and Russia is proceeding at a steady pace and there is confidence and determination to reach strategic relations.

He indicated their willingness to study the proposals presented regarding the development of traditional mining in order to be in line with the objectives of the ministry, with other considerations with regard to investments in mining and facilitate the work of companies in Sudan.

For his part Bogdanov said that his country is proud of its friendship and fruitful cooperation with Sudan in various fields, indicating that the talks are a golden opportunity for consultation on the basis of mutual trust, fruitful cooperation and political dialogue in all fields.

He added that the meeting is a step forward in strengthening the friendship ties between Russia and Sudan on mutual trust and enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields, explaining that the field of oil and minerals is essential for economic and investment cooperation.
