Sudan Calls for Marking 15th March as Islamophobia Countering Day


The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held Friday in Istanbul the open membership emergency meeting of the executive committee, on the level of foreign ministers, on the terrorist attack on innocent Muslims in the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, hosted by the Republic of Turkey, in the presence of New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al- dardari Mohamed Ahmed, affirmed that the Sudan’s solidarity with the families of the victims and condemned in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attacks that targeted the innocent of the Muslim community in New Zealand, pointing to the need for solidarity and combating intolerance.

The ministerial meeting was addressed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and attended by a number of foreign ministers of the OIC member states.
