Sudan condemn New Zealand terrorist attack


Sudan condemned on Friday a terrorist attack that left at least 49 dead and 20 badly injured in armed assaults on two Christchurch mosques.

In a statement it issued Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs, pray to the Almighty Allah to heal them with His mercy, calling on  the international community to take a firm stand against all practices of terrorism, extremism, Islamophobia, hate speech and populism as well as the racial and cultural arrogance.

The ministry called for taking the necessary measures to ensure the protection of places of worship anywhere, calling for efforts to arrest all the perpetrators and to bring them to a fair and urgent trial and to reveal all the dimensions and aspects of this heinous crime and those who stand behind it, stressing the need to take measures to prevent the recurrence of such abhorrent crimes, and the protection of freedom of worship.
