Sudan Government Will Facilitate Humanitarian Access to Two Areas


Government announces readiness to facilitate humanitarian access to war affected population at two areas in South Kordofan and Blue Nile.

The government insists on following local procedures and observation of local Sudanese laws to deliver humanitarian aid.

Vice president Hassabo Abdel Rahman chaired Tuesday the Meeting of Humanitarian Aid Commission’s (HAC) meeting at presidential palace.

The VP ordered focussing humanitarian aid activities on war affected states through solving problems related to internally displaced People in Darfur and creates stability on humanitarian aid in Darfur.

HAC commissioner Ahmed Mohamed Adam told reporters after the meeting that they have reviewed a number of reports and got acquainted on humanitarian situation in the country in general, Darfur and the two areas in particular.

Moreover the attendees to the meeting were also briefed on UN partners plans regarding their intervention on humanitarian activities.
