Sudan and Poland Discuss Combating Terrorism and Illegal Migration Issues


The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hamid Mumtaz and Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Joanna Veronica discussed the issues of combating terrorism and illegal migration, the government’s efforts to support stability in south Sudan, Libya and the Horn of Africa, and the situation of refugees hosted by the country.

The talks dealt with the exchange of experiences in fields related to international and regional issues, in addition to bilateral relations and ways of developing it in all fields.

The meeting was preceded by the launching the first political consultation committee between the two countries, headed by Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Abdulghani Al-Naim and Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Joanna Veronica, with the participation of a number of ambassadors and diplomats from both countries.

The meetings dealt with bilateral issues of mutual interest, cooperation in the areas of agriculture, technology, manufacturing, education, training and capacity building, partnership between the private sector of the two countries, the importance of Poland’s participation in the forthcoming Khartoum International Fair and further cooperation in the field of antiquities.
