The South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) revealed their intention to implement a set of security arrangements agreed upon in the peace agreement.
Speaking to SMC, the head of SSOA, Dr. Costello Garang said that . “the arrangements to train the forces from both sides have been completed “, noting that the assembly areas were identified in the states of Equatoria, Upper Nile, Bahr el Ghazal and El-wehda.
He said that Sudan and Uganda will be take a Part in the 45-day training period, indicating that all forces will become the main part of the South Sudan’s national army after the completion of training.
Garang pointed out that they are continuing to accelerate and implement the peace agreement so that the parties can form a transitional government before the end of transitional period.
The Government of South Sudan has confirmed that the process of gathering and training troops is a part of the peace agreement and the implementation of security arrangements, confirming their commitment to implement all the principles of the peace agreement signed in Khartoum.
