(Ecofin Agency) – The subsidiary of Kuwait group Zain in Sudan signed LTE roaming agreement with Telenor, the Norwegian telecommunications group.
Thanks to this partnership, Zain Sudan can automatically offer clients of the 13 markets of Telenor LTE services when they travel to that country. In addition, Zain Sudan’s clients can use their sim cards to access Telenor networks when they travel to one of the 13 markets covered by the Norwegian group.
Osama Kahin, chief operations officer at Zain Sudan, praised the collaboration indicating that the LTE extended coverage of Telenor, combined with its expertise in the LTE deployment “is of significant importance to provide all our roaming customers with the desired roaming experience”.
With Sudanese who travel for business as well as for entertainment to countries like Pakistan, Norway, Sweden, India or Thailand, the convenient added value service offered by Zain Sudan with the roaming partnership with Telenor will help build customers’ loyalty.
“Speed and quality will be even more important in the years to come and Zain Sudan’s roamers now enjoy the same superior experience as they do at home. We are looking forward to explore new services together with Zain Sudan”, Harald Krohg, Head of Global Wholesale in Telenor, rejoiced.
