Sudanese Army’s Chief of General Staff Kamal Abdel-Marouf stressed the importance and strategy of relations with US and Sudan’s keenness to normalize and develop it to the common interests.
This come during a meeting on Monday with Lt. Col. Sean Corcoran, the new US military attaché who presented his credentials to the Chiefs of Staff.
During which Abdel-Marouf praised the efforts exerted by former US military attaché in the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of military cooperation, referring to his visit to Washington in October last year which he said it was an opportunity that opened wide scope for the development of relations and exchange of visits.
He hope that the dialogue between them would remove the name of Sudan from list of state sponsors of terrorism.
He hope that the new military attaché would continue in this framework to complete what his predecessor had started to achieve the desired goals, promising to provide everything that would help the new military attaché in facilitating his mission and the success of his work.
For his part, Corcoran stressed the importance of the relationship between the two countries, promising to make every effort to strengthen them and strive to complete their tracks and further cooperation and development.
