Sudanese-Turkish Joint Technical Committee Meetings Kicked off


The meetings of Sudanese-Turkish Joint Technical Committee on electricity has Kicked off on Tuesday at the Sudan Electricity Holding Company headquarters.

The Director of the Directorate-General for Planning and Policy at the  Company, Ali Abdul Rahman said that the current meetings are an extension of previous meetings , referring to the protocols signed between the Sudan Electricity Holding Company and Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAŞ).

Abdul Rahman reviewed the successes that have been achieved in the electricity sector in Sudan, calling for signing similar protocols with the generation and transport companies.

The head of Turkish delegations has praised the bilateral relations between the two countries, announcing on technical support to the Umm Haraz center for training and providing it with the necessary tools to deal with the breakdown distribution network.

He added that the technology for the processing and manufacturing of electric machines has seen remarkable progress among the countries of the world in recent years.

He said all cognitive capabilities in this reared will be transferred to Sudan,  reviewing the progress achieved by Turkey in the manufacture of transformers and equipment used in the electricity sector.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish delegation will pay a visit to the (Umm Haraz) Training and Integrated Development Center and will also hold a joint meeting with the Sudanese Electricity Distribution Company during their current visit to Khartoum to implement the protocol of cooperation between the two countries which is expected to produce development in the Capacity building and upgrading the efficiency of workers in the electricity sector as well as development in other aspects.
