Sudan’s FM to meet world leaders on sidelines of UN General Assembly


The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Dardiri Mohammed Ahmed flew out of the country on Sunday bound for New York, US to attend the UN General Assembly.

He  met upon arrival with the Permanent Mission of Sudan in New York and the Embassy of Sudan in Washington.

The meeting reviewed the most important events and meetings in which the Foreign Minister and the accompanying delegation will participate in during the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Minister is scheduled to meet a slew of world leaders, including the UN Secretary-General, the US Assistant Secretary of State ,the Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations,  in addition to Russian Foreign Minister ,the Dutch Minister of International Cooperation, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and several foreign ministers of the UN Member States.

The minister will also participate in the high-level event organized by the United Nations on the  occasion of  achieving peace and stability in Darfur and the high-level event of the Secretary of State for peace in south Sudan.
