Technical Meetings between Khartoum and Juba To arrangment Crossings Opening


Sudan started forming a technical committee to establish arrangements for the opening of three border crossings with the State of South Sudan, including the Jouda crossing, Al-Tabun crossing, and Kosti-Juba river crossing.

Secretary General of the Government of the White Nile State, Al-Tayeb Mohamed Abdullah said that the committee formed will hold an expanded meeting with its counterpart of South Sudan in the coming days on technical arrangements related to the zero line and buffer zone demilitarized between the two countries, noting  that the committee includes representatives of finance ministry, customs, police and intelligence, pointing out that the opening of the crossings contributes to the process of trade exchange for the flow of essential goods and benefits and facilitate the transit movement between the two countries.
