UN Ready to Work with Sudan for Achieving Sustainable Development


The United Nations express readiness to work with Sudan and the countries of the region through mechanisms agreed on to achieve the UN sustainable development agenda.

Speaking to SMC, the Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Omar Dahab said following his meeting with the UN Deputy Secretary General, Amina Mohammed that the meeting discussed the role of the international organization to support the regional guidance in IGAD’s  countries to consolidating peace and defused the internal conflict in south Sudan.

Ambassador Dahab added that the meeting focused on IGAD’s role in attracting international support and the donor countries support for development projects in Sudan and South Sudan by seeking  specific plans in this field.
