US newspaper: Sudan has made significant progress in the fight against terrorism


Sudan remain stable in the recent years in compared with many of its neighbors and it has made significant progress in the fight against terrorism, Los Angeles Times reported.

The newspaper warned of the conflicts over power and said it could destabilize the region, criticizing Washington’s conduct toward Africa, saying “the US administration turned a blind eye toward Africa at the time in which participation is more important considering that the region is at a crucial stage of transformation in less than a decade of the Arab Spring”.

The newspaper pointed out that the stability of Sudan contributed to the non-expansion of extremist groups in North Africa, indicating that in the case of instability in this country, these groups will extend their influence in North Africa.
