Sudan’s government negotiating team to Addis Ababa talks with southern Sudan announced Tuesday morning that matrix for implementation of nine protocols between the two countries was signed. The matrix signed in the presence of African Union higher Implementation Panel AUHIP chairs by former South African president Thabo Mbeki, the negotiating team says.
The signatory of the matrix endorses that the two governments must cooperate economically and security wise from exporting oil up to withdrawal of troops from each country, negotiating team says in statement. The team negotiators affirm that Sudan’s government is committed to implement the matrix according to provisions and timetable agreed upon; and on basis of good neighboring and good will principle as well. The statement also paid special tribute to all regional and international parties involved in concluding this great achievement particularly Thabo Mbeki, Ethiopian premier Hilei Maryam and UN secretary general special envoy to Sudan and south Sudan Hieii Minegarous.
